This is a custom node for Substance Designer that creates an detailed edge wear or erosion effect. With the right parameter settings it can also be used to create surface variation.
Among others you can tweak parameters for large, medium and small scale details.
It is mostly intended for use with brick and stone patterns but there might be other uses.
You have also the choice to plug in an optional mask for the large scale erosion instead of using the built in default perlin noise.
This additional mask is quite powerful for creating edge wear that looks non uniform or to create some interesting surface erosion effects. It can even be used to add small random holes and nicks that look quite convincing, for example by plugin in one of the stock grunge masks.
Feel free to use this node for commercial and non-commercial work. Giving me credit is not required.
This node was created with Substance Designer version 5.4 and might not work with earlier or later versions.
