This is a 3 part substance built to blend between 3 layers for terrain.

I had previously set this substance up with multiple colour channels for optimized map packing but due to popular request I've separated the outputs back into their original categories of Albedo/Normal/Roughness/Metallic/AO/Height & Cavity.

I hope you enjoy!

How are you importing them into UE4?

Connecting them to Painter might not be as compatible since I hadn't set it up for Painter's use specifically. I had it set up for UE4 for tileable terrain blending. If you plan to use it for painter I suggest exporting the texture maps from Designer and then bringing them back together in Painter for now... I'll have a fiddle around when I have some free time to make this Substance Painter compatible. My apologies for the inconvenience.

How to put it in ue4?

@Jakob Kukla 0

The file needs to be exported as a .SBSAR file from Substance Designer in order for it to be imported into Unreal Engine 4.
I have just submitted an update to this file and all the maps will be separated back into their original map outputs for better versatility for artist use.

The lack of resourse

over 3 years ago

Hi, seems like a great material; though resources aren't included. Can you upload them please, i would love to study your graph.

It's odd, I haven't got any resources in this substance... Allegorithmic moderators haven't reviewed my new submitted version either... I'll try reach them on Twitter or something to solve this issue soon. Sorry guys.

I'm not really sure why my substance files are behaving this way... but I have been able to locate a solution...

All the resources that are missing are all noises you can find on your machine... if you look for them in the packages folder and assign them then it will load the substance correctly still. My apologies for the inconvenience. I'll look into what's causing this issue soon.

To fix resource problems I've opened the .sbs file in a text editor and in part I've changed all the "../../../Programs/Allegorithmic/Substance/Designer/4.x/resources/packages/" strings to "sbs://" string.

The way you add it to UE4 is by first installing the substance painter plugin for free from the marketplace after that you drag and drop it into UE4 either just open the editor and drag it in or find your UE4 project installation folder through the file explorer all the way into the content folder and drag and drop.
