Hey man! Thank you so much for sharing! I've tried to do exactly this for a while. Never got the alpha to go trough to the painter stack. I developed it further, adding some rust around the peeled paint. There's so much potential for this technique!

how to load the material.. i cant figure it out help!
I have a bit of an issue. How do you keep the height map showing of the layer below? Whenever I paint away areas, the layer below's height disappears, which is pretty upsetting. I've tried every single possible blending mode possible and either the layer on top takes the layer below's height info (linear dodge), or replaces both losing the layer below's height info. I want neither. I want each layer to have their own height map, but it seems impossible. It's as if substance painter doesn't actually realize that a hole has been made on the object?
