This node takes the input, and spreads out and smooths the details. Ideal for height maps, organic materials, and even grunge maps for your mask generators.

When using this with a normal node, be sure to set the values for the normal node relatively high (to avoid "flat" normals).

There are several parameters that let you change the smoothess, and slope.


[UPDATE]: Forced the node to work in 16-bit to avoid stair stepping artefacts. You can set the node to 8-bit or relative to parent in your graph.

I applaud the work but so far but what is the "default setting where no effect is happening" ? a default effect of 0 is crucial in order to use this in an effect chain. Cheers though,
